Phnghu is located at an off-shore island. The chartering of the EE department is to attract local students and to assist the regional industries. Students will be expected to be professional in general electrical engineering techniques before they graduate. We have had outstanding teaching faculty and provide high-quality equipment in the department, allowing the teaching to do basic electrical engineering theories, 3C techniques, laboratory trainings, and system designs. This department has had outstanding teaching faculty and provided high-quality equipment, which will support the teaching to do basic electrical engineering theories, automatic control system, instrument design, computer application and development of wind-solar power energy. Combined with computer and electrical technologies to fit all in one, we are ambitious to apply the high-quality electrical and electronic tech into daily uses.
Course categories include the technology of electrical, electronic and control design. The aim is to foster students to obtain the profession of the general electrical, electronic and computer engineering techniques.

We are proud of our excellent faculty. The department recruits seven qualified full-time professors from domestic and outstanding universities from overseas countries: One full professor, three associate professors and three assistant professors, and one part-time assistant professor. Not only are prominent in their respective research fields, but also the professors build up a close relationship with students and create a healthy and supportive learning environment.
The facilities include;
1.Electronic and Circuit Lab.: Circuit design, Industrial devices, Subject study and discussion.
2.Automatic Control Lab.: Control System, Single chip/DSP control design, Interface techniques, Automatic and PLC controller.
3.Electrical Motor driver Lab.: Motor driver, Computer control software.
4.Electrical Power Lab.: Power system, Switching power, Subject study and discussion.
5.Energy Lab.: Development and application of wind and solar energy.
6.Wind-Solar Power Practical Training Place: Wind power system, Solar power energy.

1.Job Markets: The graduates join the work force of various electrical, electronic, computer and wind-solar power companies in research and developments. Other join the government employees.
2.Graduate Studies: Students may pick up the graduate schools in Taiwan or apply for the admission from oversea universities.
In complying with the policies of the school, the Department of Electrical Engineering is getting prepared for the programs by recruiting new faculty members and adding up new facilities. The shor- term goals are to upgrade the current hardware and software, to encourage students taking professional certificates, to proceed the the cooperation with industries for development and application of green energy.
Cultivating professional technical personnel in electrical engineering with "instrument system design" and "automatic control" are the two major developing axes of this curriculum and our developing characteristics of the department are the green energy policy in concert with government and "green energy development and application".
The curriculum of our department is based upon electrical engineering and electronic system design and control technologies course to cultivate professionals with the design, research and developing abilities for electrical, electronics, computers, power, energy and instrument system.
