【Goals】
The goals of the Hospitality Management Department are to educate and train students to be workforce with operational skills and managerial capability for the demand of hotels, restaurants and other tourism related business, furthermore, to provide information to assist tourism development in the PengHu district.

【Course Planning】
Course design emphasizes both theory and practice. Students develop service attitude and ethics through basic course training. They then acquire competencies and problem-solving skills through professional and technical course training. The elective courses (concentrate on the three fields in hotel management, restaurant operations and tourism) allow students to develop additional knowledge in areas of specialization within the industry.

【Faculty】
There are seven full-time faculty members in the department. The faculty members major in various aspects of research fields of hospitality management. Faculty members are highly motivated individuals with practical experiences in addition to master’s or doctoral degrees.

【Facilities/laboratories】
Restaurant labs: bar, Restaurant Yong-Fong, Chinese and Western kitchens, baking classroom , demonstration classroom, restaurant operation POS system.
Hotel lab: front office operation system, five guest rooms and international conference hall.

【Career Path】
Students may continue graduate studies or pursue a career in the hospitality and tourism industry after graduation.
