【MISSION STATEMENTS】
The aim of our department is to foster professionals with global perspectives of tourism, leisure, travel agency, hotel, catering and MICE related industries to enhance the quality of tourism and leisure, and to use the field of information and skills to assist the development of local related industries.

Curriculum Planning
Our curriculum planning stresses the importance of theory and practice and assists students in job-related fields after graduation. We intend to strengthen the students' professional competencies, hands-on abilities, and future employment. Our department implements the unity of knowing and doing and process-based instruction. Through the basic course of training, we cultivate students with professional competencies and international perspectives, and through specialized practice, develop students' service competency and capability to solve problems. Finally, we train students to combine personal interests through elective courses, preparing students for both employment and personal development.

【FACULTY AND FACILITIES】
The full-time faculty members of the department are graduated from domestic and international well-known universities. The members include one professor, four associate professor, four assistant professor, and four lecturers. More faculty members are expected in the very near future to join the department. We are proud of our powerful faculty. Not only are they professional in tourism, but also they take care of students as their own.
The department establishes the coffee parlor, the basic equipment of the dining outfield service, and the travel agency service system that provides the teaching and student needs.The laboratories in the department include one mobile cafe vendor cart, which allows students get practical trainings right on the campus. The tourist management classroom is a laboratory of 50 square meters. It gives students a place to get familiar with the tourism related practices and trainings.

【CAREERS AND PLACEMENT】
Employment: join the restaurant and hotel industry such as a tour guide, a group leader, receptionists, secretaries, etc.
Enter graduate schools: apply for the institute of the public and private universities.
